A documentary on the history of Blotto?? Yes, please!

Yes, I was – and still am – a fan of the Albany-based party-rock band Blotto. I bought their records when I was a teenager in high school; I played their records when I was an undergraduate at college; and I saw them perform on stage at various concerts in the Albany area.

If I need to give you a refresher course … this was Blotto’s first big hit. Yes, it will now be stuck in your head for the rest of the day. You’re welcome.

You may have some familiarity with the heavy metal spoof Blotto recorded in 1982, “Metal Head,” featuring guitar work from Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult.

Now comes news that the group has participated in, and released, a documentary on their life and career. And, holy crap, this looks hella fun.

Yeah. I’m definitely good with this news. Can’t wait to see this documentary.

Can.

Not.

WAIT.
